By the end of the course owners will be able to recognize, capture, and reinforce their dogs good behavior, while managing inappropriate behaviors. Owners will also learn how to teach their dogs new skills using positive reinforcement methods.

Dogs will learn foundation skills that will be beneficial in real life situations. Behaviors include: Targeting, Come When Called, Loose Leash Walking, and Impulse Control around other dogs and people. By the end of this 5-week course your dog will be calmer and have better focus around other dogs and people.

This class will build the skills learned in our STAR class.  We will add some fun tricks and games to help enhance the lessons.  We will add more distractions, distance and duration to challenge you and your dog’s basic skills.  It is a great next step for the STAR graduates and a terrific way for you and your dog to Build Your Bond!  Building the Bond class is a prerequisite for CGC and Therapy Dog Classes.

This class contains cardio, balance, strength training and core work for you and your dog while also practicing skills such as leash walking, attention exercises and “Fit Tricks”. Dogs must be graduates of STAR class and have basic skills in: Sit, Down, Touch, Stay and Leash Walking.

4-week class working on polite greetings

AKC Rally is one of four companion events (obedience, Rally, agility, and tracking). AKC Rally develops better teamwork between you and your dog, as well as sharpens your dog’s obedience skills and behavior – at home and in public.

You and your dog navigate a course together, side-by-side, at your own brisk pace. You move your dog through a course with signs where they perform different exercises. The courses include various turns and commands such as sit, down, stay, etc.

You are allowed unlimited communication with your dog. The handler may use communication such as verbal commands, clapping your hands, patting your legs and using hand signals to praise and encourage your dog. This class is for those just starting out in canine sports for competition or just wanting to take basic obedience to the next level. This is a 6 week class.

Your dog should have some basic obedience training prior to taking this class.

4-week class working on loose-leash walking, polite greetings, and recall.

This class is super fun and sure to tire your dog as we challenge his/her mind. We cover 20-30 tricks including: wave, roll over, twirl, back up, weave and many more.  At the end of the class you and your dog will be tested and be eligible to earn the AKC’s Tricks Title.

PupKour is for dogs of any age, but must have taken at least the STAR class from Canine Karma. We will be using FITPAWS equipment to build front and hind body strength and awareness as well as core and balance skills. This is a fun way to build confidence and athleticism while providing a physical and mental challenge for your dog.
